The Gregory Family is Home From India

The Gregory Family recently wrote to let us know that they are now home from India with their son Manveer, whom they call Manny. Although Jessica states there have been many obstacles, she and her husband Joel recognize that God has been in every detail. “I could write a book on all of the ways we have seen him show up in our adoption journey” she stated. Along with receiving grants from Be the One and other organizations, she reported that God has also used many people.

“God initially used a few conversations with different people to lead us to adopt from India and to open our hearts to a special needs adoption.  He continued his goodness by providing guides in India to navigate the challenges we faced while in the country to help us bring our son home. He even used strangers in the airport.” Jessica states, “We were seconds away from missing our flight home and wouldn’t have made it if it weren’t for an Indian man who spoke up for us in the security line.”

Now that they are home, the couple is navigating Manny’s many medical needs. Manny, who just celebrated his 3rd birthday, is doing well and his parents have seen so much growth and development in him. Jessica states, “He has some significant medical challenges and had to have a shunt revision surgery 2 weeks after coming home but has recovered well and is so much more alert than before.”

The family would appreciate prayers as they manage all of their son’s medical treatments, various therapies, and some trauma. They also are praying for a close bond to form between him and his older siblings. Please join us in celebrating this family’s adoption journey and lifting them up in prayer.
